Easter Fairy Family Fun Trail

Concealed within the enchanting ruins are mini model fairies who promise a yummy Easter prize to those who can find them all.

Fighting Knights & Have a go Archery

From 11am - 4pm

Meet a duo of fully armoured medieval Knights together with a Squire and see how Knights dressed for battle and witness the hand to hand combat of these knights.  Also discover the art of archery with the Castle's own Archers.  With demonstrations and hands-on have a go sessions for all the family.

Meet the Medieval Jester & Have a go Archery

Meet Peterkin the medieval jester.  Once met, never forgotten.  His shows are hilarious and side splitting with his stilts and fire juggling finale.  Also discover the art of archery with the Castle's own Archers.  With demonstrations and hands-on have a go sessions for all the family.

Robin Hood Weekend

From 11am

Join BZ Entertainments and take part in their interactive performance of "Robin Hood". Don the costumes and off to Sherwood Forest.  Great fun for children of all ages.  Also discover the art of archery with the Castle's own Archers.  With demonstrations and hands-on have a go sessions for all the family.

Medieval Castle Clash

From 11am

The mighty castle of Conisbrough becomes the stage for the pageant of the Knights.  See Escafeld re-enactors gather for courtly pursuits of archery and dancing, presentations of arming a knight and then witness the dramatic conclusion of a tournament of Knights.  Main combat at 3pm.

Tales of Fear from the Castle

Storytelling performances begin at 5:30pm, 7:30pm & 9:30pm.

It is the eve of All Saints - and we present a selection of unsettling tales for Halloween.  Our costumed storyteller will take small groups into the castle grounds after dark and into the various chambers of the Keep to reveal there tales of fright. Not for the faint hearted or for the under 10s.  Do dress warm, the castle is unheated.  Each session lasts approx 1 hour.

Booking in advance is essential, places are limited please phone 0870 33 1183 to book.

Prices: £8 full price / £6 concessions. EH Members £7 full price / £5 concessions.
