Accessibility10/09/2007Conisbrough Castle is a late twelfth and early thirteenth century castle ruin, it was built during the Norman period and is protected as a Grade 1 listed building standing on a Schedule "A" historic site.

Welcome04/03/2008Conisbrough Castle boasts the finest Circular Norman Keep Tower in the UK. This testament to the Stone Masons of medieval England was built during the 1180s by the fifth Earl of Surrey, Hamelin Plantagenet half brother of the most powerful of the Angevin Kings of England, Henry II.
