Whilst many of our visitors arrive at the Castle as individuals or in small family groups, there are many benefits to visiting us as part of a larger pre-booked party. A pre-booked group should consist of at least 15 persons; there is technically no upper limit to the number of individuals in a pre-booked group, although it should be noted that building and fire regulations stipulate that a maximum of 40 persons are allowed into the Castle's keep at any one time. One of the major benefits to group booking is the personal guided tour which we offer to each pre-booked party. One of our highly experienced costumed guides will escort your group around the Castle, bringing the once proud medieval building to life before your eyes. Our guides are also there to answer your questions about the Castle, its history and the people who once lived there. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes. If you are considering visiting Conisbrough Castle with a group, and wish to take advantage of the services we can offer as part of our bookings service, you should first contact us to arrange a date and time for your visit. Your group visit can either be during or after our usual opening hours, you should be aware however, that there is an additional charge for out of hours group visits.
